Day-by-Day Itinerary
Marrakech Airport Arrival & Transfer to the Hotel
Welcome to Morocco! Our driver will meet you right outside the Marrakech Menara Airport arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name. Transfer by private car to Hotel Chems. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or explore Jemaa el-Fnaa square on your own.
Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Boumalne Dades
Depart Hotel Chems early in the morning to begin your desert journey. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 elevation), taking in sweeping mountain vistas. Arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou for a guided walk through its historic earthen architecture. After lunch, continue through Ouarzazate and the scenic Valley of the Roses to reach your destination.
Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Camel Trek & Desert Camp)
After breakfast, drive to the spectacular Todra Gorges and walk beneath its 300-meter-high canyon walls. Pass through Tinghir and stop by local fossil workshops near Erfoud before arriving at the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Mount your camels for a sunset trek across the dunes to your desert campsite. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, live Berber music around the campfire, and stargazing under the clear desert night sky.
Merzouga Dunes – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Rise early to catch a memorable sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast and showers, ride camels back to the vehicle base and begin the scenic return journey to Marrakech. Travel along the palm-lined Draa Valley and across the Atlas Mountains, arriving back in Marrakech by evening. Enjoy your final night in the city at your leisure.
Marrakech Historical Tour & Departure
Enjoy breakfast before embarking on a guided morning walking tour of Marrakech’s imperial history. Visit the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque exterior, and the vibrant spice souks. In the afternoon, your driver will pick you up from Hotel Chems for your private transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport in time for your departure flight.
