Day-by-Day Itinerary
Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Boumalne Dades
Pickup from your Marrakech hotel at 07:30 AM. We cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka pass. We visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a renowned UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch, we proceed through Ouarzazate and drive along the scenic Valley of Roses to check in at Riad Gabsi Du Dades. Savor a home-cooked Moroccan dinner.
Boumalne Dades - Todra Gorges - Tinghir - Merzouga Dunes (Merzouga Glamping)
Following breakfast, we take a short drive to the incredible Todra Gorges. We take a guided walk along the high rock canyon walls. We continue via Tinghir and the date palm capital of Erfoud. In the late afternoon, we reach our gorgeous Merzouga Glamping site located directly at the edge of the dunes. Enjoy a premium dinner.
Sahara Dune Exploration - Khamlia Village - Nomad Visit - Sunset Camel Trek
Today is dedicated to exploring the desert. We ride in a 4x4 to visit native Saharan nomads living in traditional wool tents, learning about their life in the arid plains. Next, we visit Khamlia village to hear the hypnotic, spiritual Gnawa music. Following a delicious Berber pizza lunch in Rissani, we return to the base. We mount camels for a majestic trek over Erg Chebbi dunes during sunset, returning to Merzouga Glamping for dinner and campfire drumming.
Merzouga Dunes - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Wake early for a stunning desert sunrise. Ride camels back to base for breakfast and showers. We load our group vehicle and begin our return journey. We travel through the rugged Draa Valley, admire the massive date oases, and stop for lunch in Ouarzazate. We cross the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech by approximately 07:30 PM.
