Day-by-Day Itinerary
Fes - Ifrane - Ifrane Cedar Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)
Pickup at 07:30 AM from your Fes hotel or Riad. We begin our drive south, traveling through the High and Middle Atlas Mountains. We pass through Ifrane and the ancient cedar forest of Ifrane, where we stop to meet and feed friendly wild Barbary macaque monkeys. We stop for lunch in Midelt, then drive past the massive date palms of the Ziz Valley oasis. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga. Mount camels and ride over golden Erg Chebbi dunes during a spectacular sunset. Arrive at Merzouga Glamping for a hot dinner, campfire Berber music under the stars, and overnight in private tents.
Merzouga Dunes - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Tinghir - Boumalne Dades
Wake early to witness a magical Saharan sunrise over the golden dunes. Ride camels back to base for breakfast and showers, then load our vehicle. We drive through the traditional town of Rissani and continue past Tinghir to the incredible Todra Gorges. We take a guided walk inside the 300-meter-high rock canyon. After lunch, we proceed to Dades Gorges, checking into Riad Gabsi Du Dades. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening.
Boumalne Dades - Valley of Roses - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
Following breakfast, we drive past the beautiful Rose Valley and stop in Ouarzazate, Africa's Hollywood. We take a guided walking tour of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a famous 11th-century clay fortress featured in movies like Gladiator. Following lunch, we drive over the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka pass. We arrive in Marrakech by approximately 07:30 PM. Drop-off is arranged at Hotel Chems or your preferred Medina Riad boundaries.
