Day-by-Day Itinerary
Fes - Ifrane - Ifrane Cedar Forest - Midelt - Merzouga Dunes (Merzouga Glamping)
Depart from your Fes hotel at 08:00 AM. We cross the Middle Atlas, pausing in clean alpine Ifrane and the famous cedar woods of Ifrane to watch wild macaque monkeys. Following a local lunch in Midelt, we travel past the stunning palm-filled Ziz Valley. In the late afternoon, we arrive at our beautiful Merzouga Glamping dunes site. Enjoy a cozy campfire dinner.
Desert Dune Exploration - Khamlia Village - Camel Trek to Desert Camp
Following breakfast, we take our 4x4 to explore Erg Chebbi dunes. We visit native Saharan nomads living in traditional wool tents, learning about their life in the arid plains. Next, we visit Khamlia village to hear the hypnotic, spiritual Gnawa music. Following a traditional lunch, we return to Merzouga Glamping. Change over to camels and trek across golden Erg Chebbi dunes during sunset.Savor campfire drumming under the stars.
Merzouga Dunes - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Boumalne Dades
Rise early to witness a majestic desert sunrise over golden dunes. Ride camels back for breakfast and hot showers, then load our comfortable vehicle. We drive through the traditional town of Rissani and continue past Tinghir to the incredible Todra Gorges. We take a guided walk inside the 300-meter-high rock canyon. After lunch, we proceed to Dades Gorges, checking into Riad Gabsi Du Dades. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening.
Boumalne Dades - Valley of Roses - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
Following breakfast, we drive past the beautiful Rose Valley and stop in Ouarzazate, Africa's Hollywood. We take a guided walking tour of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a famous 11th-century clay fortress featured in movies like Gladiator. Following lunch, we drive over the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka pass. We arrive in Marrakech by approximately 06:30 PM. Drop-off is arranged at Hotel Chems or your preferred Medina Riad boundaries.
